RS4 in UAE

Hi all
Had a call the other day from the local dealer (Abu Dhabi) as they have a couple of RS4s in stock and they let me do a short test drive in one of them. In the limited route it was hard to get a real feel for the car (other than it's very quick) so I am keen to hear from any Middle East owners - are you enjoying your cars and happy with your choice? Also had a look at a new M3 but the price gap is aed100k which seems odd when in the uk I believe they are a similar price. I guess maybe that is the new car premium...
Thanks for any feedback!

Hi, I'm based in Dubai and have had my B8 RS4 for 9 months now (purchased from Al Naboodah in Dubai who were amazing!)
I had my previous B7 RS4 saloon for 5 years and I am very pleased that I sold it for the newer B8. The B8 is a much more advanced vehicle in terms of technology and I have always preferred the Avants so all in all I am still very much 'in love' with the new car. Its definitely going to be in my ownership for
Here are a few relevant links to posts I have made about the vehicle.

Thanks! Would prefer to buy from Al Nabooda but no stock at the moment and not patient enough to place an order!

Hi Canfield,
I'm in Dubai and had exactly the same dilemma. Couldn't face the wait of an order from Al Naboodah and after a very brief test drive in the demo at Ali & Sons I pulled the trigger on a car they had in stock back in November. They had 3 or 4 cars in stock then, identically spec'ed other than colour, pretty close the the options I would have chosen anyway, other than bucket seats instead of the Super Sport seats perhaps. Didn't get any discount but I had lusted after a B8 RS4 for so long I couldn't help myself. I had a couple of minor niggles after delivery, which did get sorted in the end via Al Nabooda but it was a bit of a painful experience. The car goes like stink and is a such a rare site on UAE roads that I love it.
If you can get a deal on the RS4 at Ali & Sons more the merrier!

Hi Gazza I was reading through your posts about the terrible experience you had with the dealer. One question - I am assuming I can get the car serviced and deal with any related warranty claims (if the worst happens) at Al Naboodah but was your experience that all warranty claims have to be routed through Abu Dhabi?
Hoping to go up tomorrow and do the deal so I will ask them direct but good to know for sure if you have lived this first hand!

No mate, the warranty and service pack is GCC wide, there was no issue with Al Naboodah working on the car, the fact that I had bought it via Ali & Sons was irrelevant. I just had a somewhat painful customer service experience fixing a niggle with the suspension in Dubai, poor communication primarily down to one member of staff but it was sorted in the end and I hope and expect it was an isolated issue. Worth noting my last Audi was bought privately at 6 months old and 8k on the clock, it was serviced and warrantied by AL Naboodah for 5 years with no problem.

Thanks again for the input, just got back from Abu Dhabi having put down a deposit. They need a week or so to do the pre-delivery checks and get it registered in Dubai - they are also doing some window tinting and paint protection but I should be able to collect it early next week.
Needless to say, I am somewhat excited!

Picked up the new RS4 yesterday, nice handover from the dealer and delighted with the car. Bought from new stock but pretty much the exact spec and colour combo I would have ordered.
A question for UAE owners - the car chimes loudly if you go over 120kmh. A lot of cars do that here and I think there might be some legal reason for this but has anyone managed to turn it off? I have only had the car a day and the noise is already starting to grate!

It can be disabled (in the UK) via the MMI. I don't have my car at the moment, but it's easy to disable with a little searching in the car settings.

Thanks, tried a few things after reading the manual on the weekend but none of them seem to work. I am thinking it must be locked in the system.
Maybe I can find someone here to sort it out for me, and while they are at it they can turn off the bonging noise I also get every time the drivers door is open...although I think that's something common to all RS4s around the world.

congrats on the car, it is a lovely piece of machinery, had a test drive with it last August in Abu Dhabi and even though i wasn't impressed by its power, probably due the RS6 C5 torque, i loved the gearbox and the sports differential.
If you need help with getting rid of the annoying 120 bonging noise i can help you out, i've got a genuine
VCDS that i use for my cars, just give me a shout when you're in Abu Dhabi and we'll do it.
