Photos of my RS4 B8 on H&R Springs/Spacers

Post by 'Qfizzle » Mon Jul 28, 2014 1:28 am

Thought i'd share these with you.

The setup is, H&R Lowering springs that are made for the RS4 with the DRC option. Plus 24mm front H&R Spacers, and 30mm Rears. The car is sitting nicely but with this setup, there is a bit of rubbing upfront when cornering hard and coming down from a speed bump, when it rebounds. Will take care of this issue with a bit of negative camber all around.

Overall, i love the setup, and it is around 5 to 7% softer with the H&R's when on Dynamic Mode which i dislike, wish the spring rate was better than it is right now.

Looks stunning.

Few questions if I may...

Could you let me know the part numbers of the spacers?

I'm thinking of going with the MTM adjustable springs so that I could dial out any rubbing issues. How much higher do you think you would need to raise yours (if you could) to stop the rubbing?

That looks great, didn't think the RS4 could handle such big spacers. I was think about going 10mm front and 15 mm rear, thinking that was a bit adventurous!!

Could be wrong, but I suspect he's talking total widening across the axles, whereas you're talking per hub... in which case they're both in the same ballpark (this one being slightly wider at the front only)!

Now that makes a lot of sense!

Maybe 10 mm and 12 mm might be safer.

Can I ask who advised on the 10-15mm spacers? I assume 10mm front and 15 rear? Are there any warranty issues with spacers?

Thanks mate.

Part number is

24MM: B2455668
30MM: B3055668

It doesnt need to be raised at this level, it needs to go to the alignment shop for a bit of negative camber. I am not sure if the adjustable springs from MTM are made for the DRC option, so you better check if they are.

Can you space the wheels front and rear without affecting the warranty or tracking etc, are there any other considerations like insurance?

Is technically a modification, so usual rules would apply with warranty/insurance
