The dealer will make you sign a paper stating that if anything goes wrong with the suspension is not going to be covered.

Few questions if I may...

Could you let me know the part numbers of the spacers?

I'm thinking of going with the MTM adjustable springs so that I could dial out any rubbing issues. How much higher do you think you would need to raise yours (if you could) to stop the rubbing?
Thanks mate.

Part number is

24MM: B2455668
30MM: B3055668

It doesnt need to be raised at this level, it needs to go to the alignment shop for a bit of negative camber. I am not sure if the adjustable springs from MTM are made for the DRC option, so you better check if they are.
Thanks for the part numbers, did you get new wheel bolts? If so, can you let me know what you ordered?

The MTM spring kit is offered in DRC and non-DRC models. I would be worried about uneven tyre wear if negative camber was added, so would probably just accept the ride height being slightly higher than your stunning setup.

Where is it rubbing?

Could be wrong, but I suspect he's talking total widening across the axles, whereas you're talking per hub... in which case they're both in the same ballpark (this one being slightly wider at the front only)!
Confirmed, the part numbers quoted relate to 12mm and 15mm spacers.

I had 5mm spacers on my 991 as a manufacturer option, the difference was subtle but that was all I wanted. Would similar on an RS raise any issues at all, I'm assuming that 5mm is neither here nor there in terms of bearings and steering etc?

My Brabus CLS came with 25mm spacers all round from the factory and MB never made any comment about it. I suppose some companies use them and other don't so they could decide to make it an issue if they wanted to..

Yes, you have to buy the bolts separately, i got them from H&R as well.

Its rubbing in the front only, inner wheel wells. The only way to fix this issue is to go negative camber if you're not going with the coilover setup. I wanted a adjustable setup, but with that i will loose the functionality of the DRC.

Am i correct ?
I love the car but the knocking is a piss take on a high end car.

H&R produce an excellent system but it isn't necessarily the only/best option; the KW coilover spring kit works with DRC and is also height adjustable.

I have the KW system fitted and, though mine is a more conservative drop than the OP's, I could achieve the same ride height if desired; there is the added benefit that I can return the car to within 5mm of stock height if required.

On the issue of rubbing, I would be interested to know if, with 15mm spacers at rear, there is any rubbing with full load; i.e, 5 adult passengers and a couple of hundred kilos in the baggage area. Little bit like the following :D

There are two screws in the inner fender line that the front tires are rubbing on when rebounding. But, i took them off, it does not rub anymore. The inner well has many screws inside, but this is the only screw that is sticking out. Ive went on high speeds numerous times, and the inner fender well plastic is still holding well and i doubt it will ever come off. Its solid.

Rear tires do not rub. I have tried 3 passengers with me, on full load throttle.

I am interested in the KW sleeve kit like the one you have. How rough is the ride now on Dynamic? With the H&R's, its the same stiffness but the rebound is softer than OEM. If the KW is stiffer than the OEM on Dynamic, i will go for it.

Thanks for the information regarding rubbing. I'm looking into buying aftermarket rims; probably a square set up with 20" x 10" ET25 retaining the standard 265/30 r20 tyres. With a 12mm spacer upfront & 15mm rear, yours is a more aggressive setup than my proposed one so I'm pleased that there aren't rubbing issues. Btw, are you looking to go with aftermarket rims in the future?

It's interesting that the H&R springs are the same stiffness as OEM as they have a reputation for being quite stiff; usually Eibach produce the softer spring which is closer to OEM. The KW spring comfort has improved with mileage though that might be due to me getting used to the stiffer ride! It is slightly stiffer than OEM and this is reflected in the rebound; now the car feels much more planted than it did. BTW, I have been told that KW also produce the one offered by MTM but you will pay a premium for the MTM version.

Hi all, I’m new to the forum and am looking to lower my b8 rs4, love the stance of this one and was wondering what drop the springs were as I keep finding 2 variations, a 15mm drop or a 30mm drop
