Spec advice
Spec advice
I am going to confirm my spec next week and having some last minute thoughts about colour and wheel choice. I was pretty much set on panther with titanium rotors, but I'm chewing over prism silver with black optics and the new matt black/diamond cut rotors. Don't see many prism cars on sale (I have yet to see the colour in the flesh) so I don't know how different it is from standard silver. I'm also wondering if it would be cheaper to get the standard rotors painted rather than fork out £1500 extra on top of the sport pack. Thoughts, opinions and advice please.

Re: Spec advice
Prism is lovely, got lots of red and green sparkly bits in it when the sun shines on it. It really shows off the shape of the wings etc. First I've heard about the matt black wheels, have thought about changing mine to this colour and still keeping the diamond cut edges, have you got a pic? £1500 does sound expensive as a really good wheel specialist could paint the whole set for £400-£500. I'd always go with black optics no matter what the colour of the car is, I feel it suits the RS4.

Re: Spec advice
The matt black wheel is new for 2015, available now with diamond cut or a red rim, you can see them if you download the brochure. They're 1500 quid but I think they would look good with a lighter colour like prism, just a pity that you have to pay extra over the sport pack, but as you say maybe a few hundred quid in a decent body Shop. I remember when the B8 was launched that the V spokes were an expensive option, after a while they became a no cost option if you went for the sport pack, maybe the matt black wheels will go the same way.

Re: Spec advice
I can't see these being £1500 on top of the sports pack price. The £1500 I think is if you spec these wheels individually without buying the sports pack. It looks to me that they haven't updated the sports pack inclusions correctly in the brochure.

Have you a link to the brochure, I can't find the download option at Audi.co.uk ,blueaudi wrote:The matt black wheel is new for 2015, available now with diamond cut or a red rim, you can see them if you download the brochure. Re: Spec advice
That's what I thought, but my dealer says otherwise (at least for now). Graeme, it's a bit long winded, but if you go to the configurator you will see the option to download the brochure right at the end of the process, it's in fairly small print among a list of other options on the summary page.Jezzer wrote:I can't see these being £1500 on top of the sports pack price.
