ACC calibration.
Paint
Front bumper
Bonnet

All because I cheeped out when I should have venture shielded the front of my car (knob).
I know its not perfect but its a lot less pain than im going through now

Make sure you get it done after then.
No paint is as hard as factory paint.

I was quoted £1600 for a full front protection (full front bumper, valance, wings bonnet and mirrors)
I decided a respray would be cheaper.

Hi
ecav:- yes the Audi body
Shop is doing the work, and they recon im getting best price.
Carsarecool :- that's what I was quoted when I got my car, iv only had the car just over 6 months, that's nearly £1400 a year and ill have the car 5-6 years it could get expensive. its not just that though, every time I look at the front of the car it pisses me off, and its only getting worse.

Obviously if you have it done annually....but seriously...annually?? I've done 2700 miles and the worst is my alu styling front lip, the paint isn't in bad shape at all. But as you might have seen from other posts I am past caring about little dinks, scratches etc.as have more important things to get pissed off about...like Man City winning tonight!!!

Mine has one very small chip on the bonnet, and even that's not all the way through the paint, maybe the ceramic coat helps?? I'm having it reapplied in June

Ceramic coating won't help stones!
Suprised the prices you've got.
cost £500 for off the shelf Venture Shield for the R8 (laser cut specifically for R8)
How can the B8 be x3 as much?

carsarecool;- of course your right but, iv just extrapolated it out but it would get done every time it got bad and I think the venture shield would have paid for its self at the end of the day. The Man City thing oooh !!!.

( , the only good thing about this season is its gone to the wire unlike last year.
Hyfr:- I had venture shield on my last B7 and it did help, the only thing that pissed me off was it went yellow after 3 years and I ended up taking it off. im lead to believe that that's been sorted now, yer ok ill believe that when I see it. Who did you coating for you £500 is a great price.

Hi Silas,
if im honest we went on a whisky trip last month or so around the west coast of Scotland, Islay and Oban and lets just say their was a little bit of spirited driving, Where some of the damage occurred. their obviously was a little bit of tail gating but not to the point where the amount of damage has occurred. the roads weren't great in the respect that it was the end of Feb/March.
Most of the damage has been around the local roads.

Mines booked in at Paintshield in Peterborough for the Xpel clear protection. Every car I have has had this fitted to it from new. No chips and scratches saves loads of headaches. The Xpel is the self healing product that repairs swirl marks etc with just hot water. The car is scanned before so the fitting is 100% perfect! these guys are real professionals and they now fit for McLaren worldwide.

The Audi body
Shop at Tyne Tunnel is excellent and very reasonable. They done my R8 bonnet under warranty, and at the same time painted the drivers door, the paintwork was top notch and they only charged me £120 for the door, obviously they had spare paint from the bonnet but it was still a very good deal.

Hi jezzer, could I be cheeky and ask what their charging you and what level your getting. I will be giving them a bell tomorrow.
Hi lofy, iv had work done with them before and I know their quality is top notch, I know iv come across as if im dripping about the price, but its just a topic for discussion.
