I transferred a plate from retention doc to S3 in less than 10 days!!!!
Just depends when and who is sending all the docs away !!!!
I'm sure it will be worth the wait :bigblink:

Hope so. Dealer sent it away about two weeks ago should be any say now. Frustrating, it's sat there at the dealer, plates fitted and ready to go!

Mate of mine is still unable to pick up her new car as the DVLA have yet to return her V5 taking the plate off her outgoing car. Piss take.

You in the same position RSchief - waiting on the V5 back for your outgoing car?

Not sure exactly what the hold up is, dealer is arranging it all and taking our old Q5 in as trade in where the plate is coming from. Hope it's not much longer, I'm not very good at being patient.

I'd be saying to myself ......as long as I get it for the weekend !!!! :kissmyrings:

I guess it's all down to the DVLA ....nothing Kerr can do ( has he sent you any photos to rub it it ??? .....that's what they did to me while I was in Shanghai and it was sitting in Perth ! )

My misses dvla swop took roughly ten days when we bought her a new car

Yeah I know it's all down to the DVLA, Kerr said he'll call as soon as it's ready.
No pictures yet surprisingly.....that's what he normally does.

Trying to be patient but it's not working!

Got the call on Friday morning and took delivery on Friday evening.
Early days but I absolutely love it!!! Even on restricted revs the performance is awesome, can't wait for some full throttle, max revs action in the future. Car looks even better than I imagined in the metal, simply stunning.
Each to their own and all that but I just can't see past Sepang, especially with the black optics. Such a great combo.
To say I'm well chuffed and happy would be an understatement!

To all waiting on delivery, it's going to be worth it believe me.
Sorry the pictures are a bit c**p, best I could do amongst al the excitement!

Cheers guys, really happy with it.

Number plate was a steal when the 11 plates were first released, looks good though I agree. Really lucky to pick it up for what I paid for it.

Choice of standard wheels was a few factors.
I didn't want the sports pack as I wasn't fussed about getting dynamic steering or DRC has I've not heard any positive reports or reviews about it. Didn't want to,pay the extra for things I didn't really need/want to keep cost down a bit.

Salesman is into his performance cars and knows his stuff, advised against the 20" saying handling/ride is better in the 19". Only advised upgrading purely for aesthetics.

Finally, I actually really like the standard wheels. The brochure pics don't do them any justice. They have a nice finish when you see them in the metal and they have quite a deep concave which looks really good like the rotors have I believe. I didn't realise these had such a concave on them as well until I picked the car up but I like them even more now.

Overall I'm well happy with my spec and the car.
