About to pull the trigger on a new RS4

As stated in the title, however before I do, I was wondering if anyone had any views on the following
1. Are Apr to Jun retailer & finance contributions typically better than Jan to Mar?
2. Has anybody ever successfully negotiated the PCP excess mileage rate down from the default 18ppm to a more competitive rate? (Say 8ppm)
3. In real world UK motoring is the adaptive cruise control worth having? (Brake guard almost certainly is)
I'm enjoying a £9.5k showroom & finance discount on a £64k car in inventory with the dealer group which is quite good I think, if I go for a factory order then the discount falls to £7k.
Any views / help welcome and appreciated , I would be signing up on Sat for delivery on Mon!
Spec. All black + optics, vspoke and all substantive options except ceramics, tech pack and Audi Exclusive stuff.
(As an aside, does anyone know if I could order an RS4 in Oolong grey as a special (Exclusive) order?)

From memory the previous apr rate was better than the current one. I think it was 6% as opposed to 6.6% on current offer

Audi's contribution of 7k is actually what they stipulate the dealer must discount, There is still more discount to be had if you negotiate!
I'd imagine "in stock" cars are easier to get discount from however i've been offered more than your "in stock" discount on my new order car.
The adaptive cruise is certainly ok on our Range Rover however can't comment on if it's any good on the RS4, I've opted out of it as i mostly drive A roads and only really use cruise in restricted speed limits on the motorway.
You can order any colour as long as you pay the extra from what the brochure says.
I guess it comes down to how quick you want the car and if that in the showroom is how you'd spec it? For me there was one car that came near in the showroom however it didn't have a panoramic roof or the advanced key both which were essentials on my list.

Take the stock car and ask for more discount.

+1 - Also, try to get some extra cash on your PX (if you have one) as the salesmen's commission won't be based on what that comes in and sells for, so it's not in the interest of his pocket to keep that low. Let him take a few k on the new car price, but make that back plus alpha on the PX.
I believe new orders for custom paint and ceramics will see you with a build slot of around wk 46, so getting the car Nov ish

Absolutely, it's a VAG colour so available in the Exclusive programme for RRP £2,115. Remember it will likely delay the car a couple months though.
Great car, go for it!

ACC is well worth having. Even if you drive a roads it maintains distance from the car in front and I think helps fuel economy. I managed 25.4 on a 90 mile round trip from Reading to BBC Wood Lane ie. with quite a lot of traffic. Being auto it slows quite aggressively and accelerate the same. I use it all the time. I have always used cruise to maintain 30/40/50mph to save on speeding tickets.

I agree
I've had a few times in my rs4 where I very nearly rear ended the car in front where I'd be distracted by my kids etc or I just wanted to stay at the speed of the car in front.
For those times, speccing it on my next rs4 was a no brainer

To echo whats been said above, ACC is great- I use it far more than i thought i would. Not just on the motorway but whenever Im stuck on a A road, driving at 50 with lots of traffic in front.
I wouldn't want to be without it.
Also, high beam assist does actually work. Its much better than its reputation.
Auto hill hold assist is handy, and for £65 Im glad i got it, but i wouldn't pay much more for it than that.
For the record, i got the audi contribution of £5000 off AND 10 % off too. I know the deal is/was £5000 from audi and £2000 from the dealership, but it can be bettered,
Unlike Guildford audi who told me they didn't NEED to even give me the £2000 off in addition to audi's contribution.
I guess i didn't NEED to buy a car from them either!
