H&R Spacers...

Afternoon all,

so, I was mocked for asking whether someones spacers would fit either of the 20" wheels available on the B8. In my defence, I don't class myself as being that technical when it comes to cars - we all have our limits! The reason raised the question is because when I went to order 10mm H&R spacers from a UK supplier, they asked me the following question:

Please confirm that your wheels have the inner bavel - 5mm x 45 degrees as these spacers only fit wheels with this bevel.

Seeing as I've never been inclined to look at the inside construction of my alloys, I didn't think it was such a daft question...... was it? :?

The point is the two wheel options are the same spec.

I wouldn't even take it to heart, I've been ripped into far worse than that before, you didn't know that's why you asked the question, harmless banter most of the time on here :bigblink:

LOL!! :D

So does anyone know wtf the guys selling the spacers is referring too? If the wheels are the same what difference does this 45deg bevel make?

For spacers questions in terms of sizes just phone Unit20 and go from there. This is what I did, paid some money and some spacers turned up which fit my car. Perfect.

Maybe it's to do with the hub centric spacers ie the 45 degree??

Dont forget new wheel bolts, if you fit 10mm spacers you will need 10mm longer bolts (including locking wheel bolts)

I used verdee auto's as they supply H&R spacer and the bolts too,
