Change of factory order?

Hi all,
Not wanting to name the dealer at the moment, but I wondered whether anyone here could confirm, or not, what a dealer is telling me for an RS4 order.
Basically, I am looking to place an order tomorrow, but obviously trying to avoid a long wait so I'm trying to find a dealer who has an order on the system that can be amended to my spec.
Now I have a dealer who says that they have a week 14 build slot for an A4 Avant, that they can amend and change to an RS4 in my spec. This seems to easy, and doesn't sound right?
So the question is, can they do this, or are they talking rubbish just to get me in the showroom and take a deposit of me?
Thanks, Andy

i've had this issue where i had to cancel my order with one dealer who didn't tell me the build week for almost 2 months as they had no allocations left. I cancelled my order, switched to another dealer who had an order in the system with a approx build week that he still could amend and got my order in.
I have asked to the 2nd dealer to see a print out of the actual order with the build week which he was happy to do. That's when i paid my deposit.

So it does sound positive then.
Strange thing is that one dealer has a week 13 build RS4 booked, but I don't like the spec on it, yet they say they can't amend it. Second dealer with the A4 Avant at week 14 can apparently amend it no problem.
Obviously the first dealer is the one saying that there's no way an A4 Avant order can be changed to RS4.
I guess I'll find out tomorrow!

This is what Wiki says, not sure if correct?
"RS" models are wholly designed, developed and produced in-house by Audi AG's high performance private subsidiary company, quattro GmbH, at its Neckarsulm factory,[2] whereas Audi "S" models are produced at the same assembly line as regular Audi models. "RS" model also usually have a wider bodyshell (sometimes informally referred to as 'widebody') to allow for a wider front- and rear-axle track than regular Audi and Audi "S" models.

This is what it says on the audi site but doesn't mention the RS4 but does re the R6.

Many typical Audi innovations first saw the light of day at the company's second German plant. Today, the Audi A4 Saloon, Audi A6, Audi A7 and the top-of-the-range Audi A8 models are built at Neckarsulm. quattro GmbH, which is also based there, builds the high-performance vehicles Audi RS 6, Audi R8 and Audi R8 Spyder.
