New RS4 order

Post by jim1_6310 » Mon Feb 10, 2014 4:49 pm

It's been a while since I have been on here since selling my B7 RS4 for a C63 but after 2 years I have been drawn back to the B8.

My question is I am going for Ibis White and trying to decide which wheels to go for between the V wheels and titanium rotors.

Also is there must have option that people would recommend.

Thanks in advance

Jim

Personally, I think Ibis white suits the 20" 5 V-spoke alloys. Decisions, decisions...

V spokes for me. Rotors are ten a penny and for me boring.

My original order (May delivery) had Titanium rotors but as I couldn't wait that long, I sourced another one for March 1st delivery. This one has 20" V spoke alloys which I wasn't sure about at first but after seeing a set in the flesh this weekend I prefer the V spokes. Plus the titanium rotors seem be on every other Audi you see.

Your view was mine....before I bought riv. Black ti rotors are the business, specially with ramics, shows them off more :beerchug:

Rotas are significantly easier to clean than vspokes

Cheers everyone I am thinking the v spokes, not to worried about the cleaning as they def wont be as bad as my C63 multispoke ones they have to come off to clean the back of them properly.

Carbon Ceramics are sexy looking. What where they like when driving the RS4 on a daly basis? Any regrets about not sticking to the standard discs.

I like the 19" on mine too. I wanted to get the 20" vspoke but the local spec sheet listed all the 20" options as cast and 19" as forged so I went with that(though some on the forum have commented that the 20" vspoke is forged). Have since grown to love it for its ease of maintenance and non crashing ride. My detailer loves me because it makes his job easier :)
