Load fixing in boot.....

Post by steviefleming » Tue Feb 04, 2014 11:22 pm

Hi ,

could anyone tell me if the b8 Avant has the 'rail system' as standard within the boot ?

i meant to order the load fixing system when I ordered the car and I would quite like to pick up the telescopic fixings pre-owned instead ....... Just want to make sure the rails come as standard , and not part of the overall load fixing system !

any help much appreciated.

spec load fixing and you get rails; no pre-spec, no rails in boot floor.

+1

Not an easy retrofit either apparently as I enquired. Would be very useful in hindsight

Bollocks !!!....... I had thought as much .

But I did get my hopes up when I read the following in the A4 avant section on their website ........is the 'standard' rail system only on the A and S4 then ?

Would be ideal with bikes and wheel bags

I use my load securing kit every day. It holds my genuine Audi collapsible boot storage box neatly in place, for work I pop my laptop and briefcase in the box and for play it holds my cycling helmet/shoes/energy gels etc.

My first ever vehicle with a load fixing setup and I like it a lot!
