Quick question to any RS4 B8 owners who don`t have folding mirrors.
When the car is put into reverse does the nearside mirror angle downwards to allow you to see the kerb and how close your shiny alloys are to it??
I have this feature on the M3 and find it really useful
I have been trying to find out if this is the case on non folding mirrors or is it part of the folding mirrors option?? (chi ching

)

No I don't think it does. If you have supersport seats then its part of the convenience package (£450) or you can order just the folding/auto dimming mirror option (£290). With buckets you can only get it with the folding/auto dimming option. I have the convenience package and all you do is move the mirror adjustment switch to the near side mirror (left), select reverse and watch it adjust to the kerb, you then drive off it moves back to the normal position.

From what I can see its included in the folding mirrors option, but not a standard feature.
I`m going for the bucket seats so convenience pack is not an option.

Can you not program it with
Vagcom? Nearside mirror auto drop upon reverse?

I have it - it works great for me providing you adjust it . It is part of the convenience pack (seat memory) and not part of the folding/dimming option only.
Not sure if you can
Vag Com it; i doubt it as I think it uses the memory ability .

Right so if it is not part of the dimming /folding option, its an option I can uncheck
