Right then guys.

The deposit has been paid, who has experience of a B8 with mods?

Thinking Milltek & MRC remap ala B7.

Advice please

YouTube the HMS exhaust set up, sounds crazy
Also if you go all out, go look at Marzz's build thread in RS5 area! Aside from the 'charger he has done a lot if other mod work

B8 is pretty much at limit of tune, don't think there's a lot of anything left to get out of the tank.

The RS4 sounds ok with OE sports exhaust, but the HMS omg!!!!

Seeing as they all use standard tailpipes, I may get a custom system, gut the cats etc. much more cost effective!!

Certainly without opening it and throwing a bucket of cash at it.

My understanding from talking with MRC too
A chip will do very little in terms of perceivable performance, but will remove your warranty
MRC are working on a supercharger kit, but I think MTM already have one on the market for the RS5, which should go on the B8 - I'm guessing, like the B7 kits, you're looking at £10-15k

Yeah re mapping probably isn't going to yield much if anything at all apart from removing your warranty, as when you re map B8 chassis audis the ecu stores as certain hidden code that shows up whenever the dealer does a diagnostic check , there has been a lot of guys in the states with remapped S4 s have this code come up after remapping and the dealer has refused warranty work and a tag on the Audi system .

Regarding supercharging seems to be the way forward but it's defo not a cheap one, pretty sure PES do a charger kit as well but it's about 12k , my question would be to spend 12k to supercharge the RS4 or put that money towards a deposit on the RS6, I know what I am favoring

Wouldn't supercharged RS4 still be a very different beast to the RS6? £100k for 100-odd extra horses vs/ £65k…..taking into account handling differences and the challenge of bringing 2+ tons to a halt. I would guess it's a wealth-related decision to buy a new one. RS6 residuals will be low as it is expensive new in my opinion……saying that the dealer I ordered my 4 from has sold 12 6s….I doubt at list price!!

I wouldn't say 100k, I specced one up without going daft or ceramics and it was 86 k , I am not going to use the car on a track so I think ceramics would not be required

Completely different cars, the 6 is more spacious and luxurious inside.

I suspect sales are OK, prices seem to be strong, I've been following the used examples, they aren't sticking around long, so there is clearly demand.

Mmm, given life expectancy of the wave discs I think ceramics will be a wise choice. I'm close to ordering....

I realise that but hunter was talking about not spending on the 4 to put a deposit on a 6…that's all. A comparison I'd not make as they are so different.
