Whining noise

My RS4 B8 has a loud noise inside the vehicle. It sounds like the power steering pump. Only audible at idle.
The noise is equal to 45% volume on the radio. Has any one got a solution for this. I have heard the same noise in another RS4 B8.
Being told that all RS4s have this noise is not an option as it is too loud.

The whining noise is me because I dont get Mine till March.

The only whining noise I have had in my RS4 is the Mrs... Get it to Audi ASAP, use Audi assistance to get a free car etc...

It has been back to the dealer but they are not sure what it is--they have now sent a recording to the factory. There is no disputing that there is a loud noise. New RS4 and RS5 on the showroom floor both have same problem. Air con turned off to eliminate this.

Have you got a video of it? I am no expert but someone on here might have an idea... That all sounds very strange

I'd make a guess that it's Aircon related then...

Noise same with air condition turned off. There is a vibration matching the sound in the steering wheel. I know of three new RS4s and a new RS5 with this noise. The noise is only inside. If any of you B8 RS4 owners could give me feed back if you have a noise at idle let me know.

Same here, no noise in mine. If there was, it'd be drowned out by the squealing brakes
Throw it at the dealer and refuse it back until they sort it, they'll soon get it done

I have the exact same issue with mine. Took it to dealer here in Dubai who thinks it may be a steering pump or ball bearing issue. Its booked in in a couple of weeks to hopefully get sorted.
Did you manage to get any meaningful feedback from the dealer/factory on this noise that you can share?
