As per the title, I placed my deposit for a new RS4 last Thursday, ( 8 days ago). I still haven't been notified of a build week yet.
Is this normal?
Or is impatience getting the better of me?

Yeah it can take a little longer than that, I think it took about 3-4 weeks for me to get the build week, but this is only provisional and that can move. Its only when they start building for sure that you get to find out..

I was looking through my posts to find out if I could see when I got my build date, but my whole timetable was ordered on the 31st Aug, build started in week 42 (beginning of Oct) and I picked my car up on the 14th November so about 10.5 weeks

I'm the same, placed the order 3-4 weeks ago, still awaiting confirmation of build week.
Treading that fine line between chasing the dealer and becoming a pest!
What Spec have you gone for? (sorry if you've already posted it elsewhere...)

I've just heard, 6 working days after ordering, I've a week 7 build for next year!
Only problem now is trying not to get too excited for the next 3-4 months!!

i think sometimes it depends on allocation - Dealerships have a limited alloted amount of RS cars; and they will know at time of ordering if they have allocation left. If they have , the build week should be provisionally known in the system when the order has been accepted by Audi. Sometimes, dealers sit on the order or have to wait for next quarter allocation.
Good news is that builds are sometimes brought forward as (my dealership tells me) people tend to more often cancel out of the higher end cars and they then fill forward the slots..

Got an email back from the dealer, build week 4, expecting the car in the country for around 1st week in March, now what to do for the next 3-4 months...
Test drive loads of hot hatches maybe?

Ordered 3 weeks ago and got email confirming build week 4/20th Jan. Car expected 4-6 weeks later.
Don't want the car until 31st March so knowing it's at the deal for a month will hurt.....

Why wait till the 31st March? If mine isnt avaialable for the 1st week in march, i may hold off so they can tax it from April, but pretty sure they can do that in the last week...
