March 13, Sports Pack, V spokes, Pan Roof, Tech Pack advanced, Sound Pack, Full Leather, High beam assist, Power tailgate (when it wasn't free), black styling pack, privacy glass, convenience pack and a few more that I can't remember right now.

Quick question? Why do some people blank out the plates? Ive never seen the need for it, but maybe I'm being naive. ..

People blank out plates to avoid their car being cloned, insurance companies knowing about undeclared mods etc. etc. I dont often do it anymore....

I'll get a sound clip to show you what one should sound like as well.

Surely its just as easy to spot a car on the road/in a car park and clone the plate from that? or go on to a spotters forum and find one on there. It doesnt seem to offer any additional security IMO? This may differ if I was in an area with a higher concentration of RS models, pretty sparse up here in jockland!

Be interesting to know what info ANPR gives to traffic cops; year, make, model, colour...

Mods wise, i can see the thinking there, a lot of people dont declare even down to wheels and window tints. I've found that without performance mods, it makes little difference if any to insurance so always go on the safe side...would be gutted if i saved 83 pence on my policy to have it voided by something like that!

I am part of the Admin team for the owners club for the Impreza that I have, we were somewhat surprised when we looked into a number of the 'silent' members or stalkers, to find that they were from insurance companies and brokers... I've had a car cloned in the past and all we could put that down to was I raced mountain bikes nationally and someone had picked my numberplate from a carpark in wales whilst I was racing....

Always looking for a way to avoid paying out...

Interesting point here (and aware i should move this off this thread!) there's nothing to stop someone cloning your car and posting pics on forums, therefore insurance companies dont really have much to fall back on if using a forum to evidence modifications...

Also, is this thread for all B8's or jsut B8 RS4's????
