Surely its just as easy to spot a car on the road/in a car park and clone the plate from that? or go on to a spotters forum and find one on there. It doesnt seem to offer any additional security IMO? This may differ if I was in an area with a higher concentration of RS models, pretty sparse up here in jockland!
Be interesting to know what info ANPR gives to traffic cops; year, make, model, colour...
Mods wise, i can see the thinking there, a lot of people dont declare even down to wheels and window tints. I've found that without performance mods, it makes little difference if any to insurance so always go on the safe side...would be gutted if i saved 83 pence on my policy to have it voided by something like that!
