4800 quid for a 9kg weight saving! I better it sound 'distinctive' though...

My one gripe with the product was that there was little information out there in terms of video or sound clips (that I can find anyway). Having now heard it, I can't really see the justification for a £5k bill. I guess someone with lots of money will fit one for the crack, but it's certainly off of my list.

This car has reappeared at Bramley, I'm sure it was originally fitted with a Milltek but now seems to have an Akrapovic. Does anyone know the story behind it?

Massive spec and a massive price considering it will be a year old soon.

I had an Akrapovic Evolution system c/w carbon fibre tips on my R35 GTR. It sounded like an F15 at full chat when I was nailing it.

The only problem with it was, other than the carbon tips you couldn't see anything else which was a crying shame as the build quality was exquisite.

I spoke to the guys on the Akrapovic stand at the Autosport show a couple of weeks ago they seemed a bit vague when questioned about any warranty issues and told "look on the web site" ...... but at the £5k mentioned above felt they really did not sell it for me .
Millteck on the other had could not say enough even got me under their own RS4 to take a look plus they give a life time warranty ....

Does it make a bubbling/vibrating sound? I saw some non official videos on YouTube whereby it sounds different from the official video.

I've been in the miltek car too, and it certainly sounds pretty nice. A bit too loud for my every day use though, but they did say they were working on a variable valved version

The Akrapovic exhaust sounds nice on the video, but it's very difficult to tell on a speaker.

Re warranties, as I've said on the other thread, Audi told me that they're increasingly seeing engine/transmission warranty claims being rejected due to exhaust mods as any increase in power directly effects all the other parts of the power train

I just got the milltek non res and it sounds like and r8 v10, and for £1800 that's better value than £5k
100% better than the sports exhaust option I had on the car

£1800? [TIRED FACE] for a bit more noise? Wow....£8-900 yes but nearly 2 large....
