Evening all,

having been a bit of a forum stalker in the past, I am pleased to say that I intend to be a little more active here, now that I have finally landed my first RS.

I take delivery on Monday having secured a nice deal over the weekend. Can't bloody wait! It's the first real car I've had for 6 years, so to finally get behind the wheel of an RS4 that is mine is bloody good news!!

I'll be having a read through the threads over the coming days, hopefully any questions I ask won't be too dull or repetitive!!

I always thought the lighter colours were the best for the B8 RS, mine's Suzuka grey, which to most is white anyway

I meant to say, I originally spec'd up a new car, and that would have been Suzuka Grey. My current B8 A4 avant is Daytona Grey & I just thought as much as the RS4 looks good, a different colour was needed. Plus (sorry if this offends some) there appear to be a fair few Daytona Grey RS4's out there & very few Suzuka Greys. So, in my opinion, good call on the colour (still not seen one in the flesh other than a local RS5).

Met Smudge at my first ever Audi meet when I was a carless student! Ahhh those were the days, B5 S4, 8L S3 and mkiv R32s everywhere. Looks like you registered on here a fortnight before me.

What model B8 A4 have you got if its painted Daytona?!

Hey Ian, B8 A4 avant 2.0 TDi Quattro Sline Black Edition, with S-tronic gear box (rolls off the tongue eh!). It's a nice enough car, but it's not quick (I chopped in a 335d long term rental for it).

You'll have to work it a bit harder than the 335 to get it rolling !

Long time no speak, nice order. Bet you can't wait. It will be a bit different to your R32....

TSN is very quiet these days.

Look forward to seeing it in the flesh on Monday Smithers......
