Is the c7 RS6 a better option?

It looks stunning, has made genuine progress in the performance department and not stood still like the RS4 has over the last decade(0-60 4.8) cylinder on demand technology etc etc make it look more attractive? Given thev b8 hasnt maintained the superb dynamics of the b7 both cars are equally not perfect in that area.

I'd agree probably but it has to be at least another £20k more

Yep, can see the C7 listing at £77k.

You won't be moaning when the B8 was the last naturally aspirated V8 available.

So mid £80s for sensible spec and therefore £20k more than mine which is a lot when you won't really be able to use that extra poke.

The NA factor is one particular reason that I am happy I have an old school motor

Yep and despite being lighter than the C6, its still a big old beast! Not one I'd like to take on track whereas at least with the RS 4/5 B8 you have that option.

I kept the best spec'd C6 in the UK for all of 3 months as it just left me cold, despite 700PS+

Yep, I don't see it being fun just bonkers quick, probably more refined and bigger inside which would be a bit nicer but not IMO worth another £20k big ones.

RS4 and very decent caterham for that money.

But don't get me wrong
I think the C7 looks awesome and would be a great car.

But in the context of the OP, vs. A B8 I think it has many downfalls.

As an outright Autobahn stormer it has no equal!

I'd say the c7 looks lovely + twin turbo!!! Ok it's more cash than a b8 and on paper alot more of a car for the money, I would wait to test drive one

i remember JK saying about the B5 RS4 and the C5 RS6 for out right speed the RS6 for point ot point the RS4 i have driven the C6 RS6 on the track and in satndard form it's bloody quick but you have to scrub off alot of the speed when hitting the corners as most of you on here will know
if its any were near the previous RS4s it will be a B road monster and the fact that it will hang on the tails of most sports coupes i like and my second test drive gave me that feeling that there will be a few strange looks asthey fail to loose an estate car ont the B roads

but the C7 RS6 will be a autobane bruiser but like th C6 it's 20k more than i want to spend and for me it's too big
