Was speaking to a dealer recently and he said that there have been problems the suspension on early build cars. He mentioned that the suspension is being replaced on these cars, which included their demo. I didn't ask which part of the suspension is at fault.
He said that Audi were under pressure to get the B8 into production.
Anybody else heard anything?
Not so good

In this month's Evo they say that their B8 RS4 is back with Audi having a suspension noise being looked at, and the loan B8 RS4 they've been given also has the same suspension noise.

Audi can't be serious!!!!
After all that has happened since the first RS6 and B7 RS4 they can't surely be still having issues???

Are Audi just riding the wave of their popularity and churning out cars without paying close attention to detail? It's a question I ask myself regularly.

Real shame, mind it would not be an RS4 without suspension issues. I wonder if it is an issue on cars with and without DRC?

I took my brother in laws RS5 in for a service before Christmas and mentioned that the front suspension was knocking (normal drc symptoms) and the service manager admitted that they had some RS5s with DRC problems. They asked that the car be brought back for further investigation but he ha snot had time or inclination to take it in.

The Evo car is, according to Audi, 'not a DRC' issue although it certainly seems to have all the right symptoms

The b8 I've had for the last 5 days had a very subtle knock from the near side front, but it was hardly perceivable and it was only as I was perhaps looking for it, that it was apparent. dealer said everything was fine

I'm not overly concerned, particularly after what Adsgreen said about their being a technical note saying some noise is to be expected.

It's only really a concern if you're planning on keeping it for >5 yrs when the warranty's gone. Before that, you can just throw it into the dealer to get fixed as you would with any other niggle

Audi extended warranty; either 4 or 5 years purchased when ordering the car.
