Audi Connect

I am trying to get it to work with my iPhone but am having issues. The phone recognises the wifi and I enter the wep or wpa code but then it never establishes a connection (I get the little timer indication on the iPhone showing it is trying to connect). Anyone else having this issue? Bluetooth works fine.

You are right.. I re-read the manual. I find this just retarded. I wonder if I can get a sim for data only and also connect my i phone trough the Bluetooth for calls. If I read correctly it can't be done but will check with Audi

They don't allow access to the sim or something. Apparently going to be rectified later in the year but not retrofittable.

Somebody said if you put a SIM card in slot it disconnects blue tooth so phone won't work!

Pretty sure this problem afflicts all Audi's, there's a thread about this on the VW Audi forum between A6 and A7 owners, it would appear that one of them has been compensated by Audi already because he was misled about compatibility with the iPhone. From what they're reporting, it seems that the fix, if and when it comes, will not be retrofittable but I don't quite understand why.

Thanks downloaded the app so will check it out tonight. Doesn't seem that the google maps and other benefits of the 350 pound audiconnect option will work though. Quite disappointed with Audi on this.

Very frustrating indeed and I think it's fair to ask for money back. There was no statement regarding it not working with an iPhone. If anything they always wrote about how well MMI was with apple products, I don't find it acceptable. All that marketing bs about google maps, etc is rubbish. Don't know if i should speak to dealer or Audi UK directly
