Had a set sitting in the Mytyres web basket for £914 last night, been very tempted to press buy. My Bridgestone's whilst great, are past their best and starting to pull me around a bit now at 4mm.

Check out Pneus, that's where I bought mine, should be a bit cheaper - depending what size you're after.
Based on my deliveries it looks like they drop-ship directly from a Michelin plant/warehouse in France.

Try Oponeo. Miles cheaper: http://www.oponeo.co.uk/tyre-details/mi ... #133804594

They all change frequently so always check when ready to buy; Oponeo was a bit more when I bought mine PLUS I have some loyalty discounts from Pneus.

Don't forget to add the fitting cost when comparing tyres. Tyreleader and pneus come up cheaper for Michelins for my RS6 but don't include fitting. Black circles price includes fitting and is only a few pounds more than the other sites so works out cheaper in total.

Indeed.
Apart from emergencies I plan my tyre fitting for spring and autumn fitting when I swap between summer and winter tyres and buy the tyres well in time.
I use a mobile tyre fitter who also swaps my wheel sets over, checks pressures, balances etc.
Sometimes he just changes the wheels, but usually there's something else to do and combining the jobs at the same time keeps costs down.

Hi Smudge,

i've got the MPS4's on my daily (C220D) and they are really good ..... I did experiment with the F1 Asyms on the Merc cuz everyone was raving about them, but they were a bit 'loose' on this particular car and I wasnt impressed in comparison to the Michelin's.

but.... I'm also another PSS fan, had them on the RS4 and couldn't fault them, if it was my money I'd go for the PSS rather than take a chance on something less..... I'd have the PSS on the Merc if they did them in the right size....But the MPS4's are also very good (in my opinion)....

Had the pilot sports on the old supra too, and for a RWD car with over 400hp (at the wheels) the rear tyres lasted ages and gripped better than the P-Zeros that came off!!
2006 RS4 Avant - Carbon Clean, Intake Ports Polished, HF Air Filter, MRC Remap
1998 Toyota Supra 3.0 TT - de-cat, bleed valve, UK Spec Brakes, HKS Springs & CW Dampers, Goodridge Lines, Pagid Pads & 360 RWHP
1990 Toyota Supra 3.0 T - de-cat, HKS Boost Controller (1.4 bar max), used as a daily drive for 110k miles on original turbo!
198x Granada 2.8i Ghia X - Can't remember the exact year - but a great car!

Hi Mark, did you have the Michelin pilot sport 4S on your daily? They are different to the pilot sport 4

MPS4 is very different to MPS4S. The S4S is the (improved) replacement for the MPSS, with dual compounds.
I think there's a "branding exercise" at Michelin, but it does make it a bit confusing, especially when you pluralise things....
