I had my tips replaced as a goodwill gesture no argument what so ever.
Whilst it was in I asked them to look at the sunroof and the blind as the sunroof rattles and the blind sometimes opens about 8" after closing. Also could they do the sat nav map update as the latest maps have just been released.
They did the tips but cracked the bumper when removing it, apparently the RS bumpers are thinner to save weight?
They rang and told me about the damage no issues I am waiting for the call to fit a new bumper.
My only reservation is that the colour match must be spot on as the car is silver and it can be a pain to match.
There was no charge for the map updates but the sunroof still rattles!

Make sure they also pay to replace the piece of paint protection film on the bumper as well

I had spotted some minor degradation on mine at about 5k miles and 11k later they now look like this. Believe it or not they are the black versions; this is after a proper clean and polish to rid them of the carbon build up. So lots of reflection going on which makes them look chrome.

Not really worried, as I have some Akrapovic carbon/titanium ones to put on, but I will be having a word to replace these whilst the car is under warranty. Perhaps earlier cars don't have this problem?

Yes Simon they spotted that and mentioned it before I did.
I got a call last week saying they were trying to track some paint down at a reasonable price. Apparently it is £2000 a litre!

I got the magic cleaner from my dealer. Has done nothing and wasn't going to as the black coating was already coming off. If it wasn't for the fact the bumper or exhaust needs to come off I would of removed mine and got them powder coated already. It's a job for the future but as the car is a daily it's difficult to get the time. If I ever see a used set I will snap them up to get them done ready.

I've got a used set just taken off mine if you're interested

So thanks to Chandler99 I now have a set of used tips to get refurbished with something more resilient. At the moment they will either be blasted, zinc plated and then stove enameled or blasted, painted and hydro dipped in carbon that matches the engine cover carbon. Just trying to find out how resilient the hydro dipping will be. I see it done on engine components so I know heat isn't an issue but its the cleaning off of the soot that is a concern. Either way I will update the group with some progress pictures.

Simon what was the paint film you had fitted? I couldn't remember what you said.

I had a look at the painted bumper yesterday and it looks good, but we will see how the colour matches once it's fitted.

Booked in on 17th July they are also going to look at and fix a front parking sensor that is playing up.
