It's because, although I'd provisionally placed my basic order earlier in the year to get a build slot, I'd only now fixed final spec etc (ie tried to add ceramics) and the lead time for ceramics is way longer than I'd allowed for fixing the rest of the spec
Not audi's or brake suppliers fault, but my own :(
I Could still have them, but would have to push my build slot back a lot of weeks, even months

Ah yes, I've been warned about changing spec too late in for the same reason.

I'd wrongly assumed that the 'non changeable' items were things like custom paint, inlays and leather colours. Whoops

I'd want that with ceramics too and the lead times for rs6's, I believe, is even longer than 4's

Problem is that my car currently has a wk 22ish build slot, but if I add ceramics, it'll be week 42. Ie get it on July or get it in November

Can see what your saying, but if it's a keeper for a couple of years I'd be tempted to wait, it might come earlier than you think, you impatient git :biggrin3:

I'm not sure Audi uk would lend me their RS5 for all that time though
We'll wait and see
In the meantime, this isn't such a bad car, just a little small for bikes

Bmx fitted in complete today, but yesterday's downhill trip to Aston hill mean wheel, saddle at handlebars off my DH bike

Had this for the morning today. Considering it's the edition 507, I was a little underwhelmed to be honest

How did you find the size of the C63 estate vs the RS4?

I looked at E63 but couldn't live with the interior, still too much of a whiff of old fart.
