I'm Back! 12 years later - New RS4 + Advice!

Great combination if you ask me. Might have gone for something similar myself, but the thought of keeping another black car clean was just too daunting.

Thanks... My 911 and Rrs were black, and I did think about this lots - thing is I don't mind a mucky on the outside car.

I loved Suzuka, but my mrs has had some input unusually here - i.e. Your not having a white car, that was just an extra battle!!!

So the ltd edition comes with lots of options, some I wanted, some I'm nervous / not bothered with. For example

I don't get the carbon engine cover...

But it does have the full sports pack

The two I'm nervous on:

Sports bucket seats (although very cool with the detailing) will they be ok for long journeys - lack of power operation a bugger.
Matt Alu package, standard and can't be changed - so mythos, red wheels rims - black, and alu pack. Interior red and black.

If I don't like the alu pack, I'll get it wrapped (just the Alu bits) somewhere local.... I want this thing to look mad max!!!

My wife still refers to my old Suzuka car as 'the sh1tty white one', so it's a pointless battle

I know - 28th april, but build week slipping now 14

Mine was build week 10 and end of April delivery............

OK - So we're back in the room, apparently build week 13 now, which is this week.....

.....Dealers are up for deals right now - wish I'd held out!!! LOL BUT, I got the spec I wanted.

I deliberated for hours on this bloody car!!!, I had a nogaro edition - and I loved it in and out, LOVED it - but the UK cars haven't got high enough spec unless you'd spec'd one yourself (no roof, adv key, B&O) so a bit useless for me as those are things I really want, esp with 2 kids, and the wife will not do without heated seats, the nogaros in the dealers do not have heated front seats even!

So then I found the car at Stafford - check it on Pistonheads, great spec, great colour, settled on the black - but they could only do deals on the large amount of existing stock they have.

And then it became hard - these LTD's have like panels in funky colours, stitching that matches, doors in similar colours - to say I tooo and froed on this was an understatement. Is the white to lary, the grey to boring, the red too mental - and the yellow extreme!!!

I reckon the safe choice is the grey, less safe white or red, unsafe yellow (look at my seat pic above)

So it came down to - white stitching & panels with kids, vs red. My RS6 had white seats - I got in it one day with a cheap pair of blue jeans, and bingo - I had blue seats. Lets have a go at red, hoping mad max not pimp car!!

I'm sort of how would you describe it!!! erm anxiously excited.....

....If you look in the press though there's a lot of a black and red things going on, interior shots for the new RS3, and for the C63S, and for the impreza.... and and and!!!!

A car that'll defo be amazing is the missano red version of mine....

....And then I dropped our Golf off for a service tonight to be told that the RS4 is the most nicked car around at the moment!!!

The wait is going to be minute by minute

I was under the understanding that it was the old shape, as it was easier to shift off the parts (i.e. buckets etc, which still fetch £2k+), but the new ones might get stolen to order and disappear abroad.. It's part of life unfortunately, and the price you pay for having a nice car is that some little f**ker will want to steel it.

Boff, I know your point on white seats with kids. Mine would be ruined by now with a combination of muddy mountain bikes and two 8 & 14yr old boys.
A good friend bought an FType with cream seats and did exactly the same with a pair of indigo jeans. he now has a blue tinge to the drivers seat, and despite trying to clean it out, was told that he'd need the seat leather bleached and recoloured to get rid of the blue..

I'm looking forward to seeing this car as the PH advert doesn't show any pics. All black with red wheel rims will look like Knight rider, which is good in my books

Found the article you lifted the list from. It also says...
