Well I think I'm going towards the C7 route... then off to MRC
A tuned C7 will be monstrous. Wonder how many tuned ones are out there now and how reliable they are?
previous- Pug 205 gti, 306 gti, 309 gti Goodwood.
Audi S3, S4 V8 avant.
Porsche Macan Turbo.
Gone but NEVER forgotten - C5 RS6 Misano red avant.

Now - Empty garage

If you don't know where you're going, any road will take you there!

Done the same mate, just put a deposit down for a new RS6 performance and should have it by the autumn. I was thinking of holding on for the new RS4 but the latest tale I've heard is that they are struggling to reduce the weight of the car and no news on when it will be launched, interestingly they are bringing out an RS5 Sportback which might be worth a look.

Just got back from the ring, after a crazy Rd trip.. stopping at the dam first, then on to the ring, got taken out in the M3 ring taxi... omg I'm shocked at how good that car is on track.. it's made me think twice, and also how good the b7 still is as a 10 year old car.
This new car thing is getting confusing. :bash:

I've never even owned a BM so I know what your saying, but the speed that thing can enter and exit a bends defies physics..it was completely crazy!!!
After that I'm not ruling one out, there is no way the b8 can do what the M3 can do in the dry that is.
In the wet it's a different story as we all know

Friend of mine bought a new M3 just before Christmas. No disrespect to the B8 but the M3 shows how far things have moved on. It's mind bendingly fast and capable.

He went for the carbon porn on his...

Very. The M3 is his 'family' car. He's a track nerd so he runs a family car alongside a road going Exige Sprint (that he put on Nitrons), so with the M3 and Exige he has a good handle on what handling is good or not.

So far he's had nothing but good things to say about the M3.

The M3 is awwesome, but with the torque the turbo provides you need to be sensitive with the throttle. It wants to spin up in third with sharper inputs at half throttle in the wet.

Great steering feel compared to the B8 though, and the F80 has less feel than each M3 before it.

That goes along with what my friend text me after 400miles in his...

Gearbox is mental. In most aggressive setting, DCT bangs home the gears and even on half throttle 3rd to 4th the TC Light flickers in cold mildly moist conditions.

Keeps you on your toes I suppose. You'd not want to be driving it with traction off though, haha

Personally, I wouldn't even consider an M product right now with the forthcoming M x-Drive system in final development. I must say, it does really look to be the best of both RWD and 4WD worlds. Just need to task the M division with making their cars sound great again.
