Replacing Bridgestone Potenzas. I think they're probably quite meh but it's difficult to judge as the alignment is out and the steering wheel is off centre. Not too bad in terms of tyre roar and I'm enjoying trying to shred them whilst they're on the way out!

With that considered, I'd be interested to know what you think of the change over. Those S007's are supposed to be MPSS competitors, they've got good rim protection which the Michelins don't have.

I had a loan RS4 with the Bridgestone Tyres on and they were a distinct improvement over the P Zeros on mine. They were quieter and with more grip. They are definitely consideration if sourcing the PSS's becomes an issue.

Will be sure to let you know. They're good in all the usual areas - wet / dry grip, road noise, rim protection is good etc etc....They were fine in colder conditions up until the changeover and there was only 1 day when I really needed the winters I had on.

I took the car out for an extended run today. Something's not right though at present which is really inhibiting my ability to judge them. It feels like the tyres are scrubbing or even 'grinding' against the road surface. I'm not able to find the words to describe it properly and it's got to be due to the alignment. It's not a completely negative thing though as the tyres are actually providing a level of feedback dependent on road surface through the steering wheel. I thought that was outlawed on an Audi? :-) You'd have to drive it to see what I mean.

I'll obviously get the wheels aligned when the MPSS are fitted.

Hope you get it sorted. Sounds strange?

First impressions on the S007's (120 miles in) are quite positive. High speed stability i.e. over 1.2 leptons is better than the MPSS I've run on other platforms; they're a tiny bit more vocal at the limit though, but not embarrassingly so. Can't really comment of steering feel, as the B8 still feels a bit more numb compared with the B7. So more miles are needed under the belt, so that I can get tuned into the chassis. As it's still very new to me.

Any recommendations on reliable firms to take care of wheel alignment in Berkshire / Hampshire / Surrey / Oxon please? Tyres have arrived (cheers Ross!) but want to get everything re-set when I have them fitted.

None posted yet. It has the silver chin & bottom option, so waiting until I've sorted that aspect out first.

Yes, I shall be there on Saturday but without the Akrapovic fitted. Holding off on that right now, as I want to get used to the Sports system first.

As Dave mentions Micheldever are ok, used them once before on a BMW. The other place I've read good things about was the Wheel Alignment Centre in Southampton but not tried them myself.
