That looks <beep>, no more aggressive looking than a S4
I like the chris harris videos, but he tends to rate cars on how well they drift, and that doesn't factor too much into my trip to Waitrose or Forest of dean mountain bike park ;)
AMG have proven time again that they can make really cool, aggressive but still classy looking cars, but that C63 looks like a C220d with bigger wheels
I hate to say it, but I prefer the last model C63 and I didn't like that much

To be honest, I didn't like it when I had one for a week on loan.
In fact, I gave it back after two days
It was certainly fast (in the dry on a straight), but not my cup of tea

What do you think about the b9 rs4 having the newish 4.0 litre V8 out of the rs6/rs7? The one where half the cylinders can be deactivated to save fuel etc?

Devalues the RS6/7.

It'll be V6 of some description.

The C7 S6 RS6 (+ RS7) are circa 2010 floorpans, and the B9 RS4 almost certainly won't arrive until they have ended production and the next generation A6 A7 arrives, so it *could* happen. Even a completely unmodified current-spec S6 4.0 would be stonking in a lighter smaller A4

However, I expect Audi will play it safe with a forced induction 3.0 V6 exactly as Doodlebug mentions

BIG +1

I watched that this morning & decided that of all the options ahead of me this year, a C63s estate is the answer. That, or a used Golf GTi as a daily driver and a AMG GTs parked up in the garage for the hoonage. Who knows. Last month I was about to buy an R8, then I changed my socks.

It's all torque talk.

To add, did anyone note the comments re the strength of the powertrain & scope for tuning on the C63.......!?

My mind switched off as soon as I saw how boring it looked. It's more S4 than RS4 in looks
If I was in the market for a rear wheel drive car, I'd go 4dr m3 over that every time
Their horse like estate shape will only make it worse too
Amg have shown plenty of times that they can make exciting looking cars, but they played the boring mass market card this time
I'd constantly feel like I was driving a rebadged C200d

This, plus it's RWD only. Our B8 is a family wagon which my other half often drives on her own to her parents house 200 miles away.

So, nearly 500bhp through the rear wheels in the miserable British winter weather, loaded up with our lurcher, young child and enough luggage for a week... I wouldn't be comfortable with that. 4WD is a prerequisite for me, so there's nothing else that suits.

It wouldn't surprise me if the manufacturers have a gentleman agreement ahead of model launches to say what markets get what versions, so as to not kill off other brands etc.

Ok, easily able to deal with circa 700bhp+ iirc. M3 is off the list for me, I want an estate.

As for looks, maybe I'm alone, but it doesn't have to look dull. The options give you plenty of scope to make it a little grizzly. I also like the rear, not that different from the B8 imo.

Or maybe I'm just showing signs of age.

You're getting old :)
Admittedly, from the back it's not a bad view, but front and side will make you look like every other middle management estate agent in his C200
For power, then current car struggles to deal with 500ps and just smokes up the tyres, so another 200 would be almost unusable..
If they did the 4wd version for the UK market, that'd be a a whole different game
