It'll be hard to make a good comparison as the Pzero's were down to 2mmmiatang wrote:Let us know the difference in grip

They feel more compliant already and they're certainly quieter
I'll give it a good run this weekend to bed them in
On my last B8, I went from worn Pzero's to PS2's and the difference was a big improvement

Bugger, doesn't appear that Blackcircles offer that. Shame as £100 of fuel is well worth having (that's about a 4 days worth for me)boff wrote:Have you got your £100 fuel card offer sorted from Michelin?

Re: Heads Up - Tyres
They were a little over £200ea and then I use a local mobile fitters that have always done my cars and they charge me £50cash and a cup of tea to fit. They're super careful too, especially about hitting the ceramic discscarsarecool wrote:Do you mind me asking how much you paid for 4?Graeme4130 wrote:Just fitted 4x ps2's to mine this morning

Re: Heads Up - Tyres
I'd love to know what these are like they look like cup tyres, and apparently developed for the f12.

Re: Heads Up - Tyres
Done some phoning around and the online guys (blackcircles, tyreleader, camskill etc) are doing PS2s for £180-190 however, I've just spoken to my local fitter and they said I could be buying "old stock" which could be upto 3 years old.
It's a no brainer for me. He was quoting £225 with the £100 voucher being valid as they were ordered from Michelin supplier for next day delivery, so £200 a corner fitted vs £185 a corner mailorder and £50 fitting (£790)
Is there any truth in the "old stock" comment? I am not buying it, am interested if anyone knew the shelf life of a tyre.

Tyres are dated, so you can see when they were madecarsarecool wrote:Done some phoning around and the online guys (blackcircles, tyreleader, camskill etc) are doing PS2s for £180-190 however, I've just spoken to my local fitter and they said I could be buying "old stock" which could be upto 3 years old.

Re: Heads Up - Tyres
I would have thought a tyre stored in the dry, with no pressure on it from fitting and weight of the car, should be able to last many years.

Re: Heads Up - Tyres
Tyres contain anti-oxidising chemicals to slow the rate of ageing, but they need to be in use for these to be effective. Infrequent use or poor storage can accelerate the ageing process and make tyres unroadworthy...RIV wrote:I would have thought a tyre stored in the dry, with no pressure on it from fitting and weight of the car, should be able to last many years.
