so £55k std spec included nav, bluetooth, AMI, ADS, sports diff, 4way electric SuperSport seats, S-tronic, auto dimming mirror, adaptive lights, light and rain sensor.

all of those were either not included as standard on the B7, or not available (S tronic)

so how much was a B7 with those options ... and S-tronic is a good few £k on top

add 30PS and I think you've got one very well priced RS 4

Saloon was 1650kg so if you are saying the B7 Avant was 50kg more, then the B8 is nearly 100kg more than the B7 Avant?. Honestly, I think the next M3/AMG will muller it.

Very good price for the spec, they have obviously learned their lesson from over pricing the RS6 at launch.Considering the R8 has increased in price by £10k since 2007, it's looks like a bit of a bargain compared to the B7 RS4 new price, that's if it's any where near as good though.

So speaks the corporate VAG man! :biggrin3: :bigblink:

Just kidding DK. But seriously when you can get city cars with a lot of that kit for standard a range topping car should defo. have it as standard. BTW I looked out the invoice for my car and with the bits on it that it has, tech pack, heated front and rear seats, bluetooth, coming home and luggae pack it was £53K. 6 years on and in a tighter market it should have had perhaps a bit more to it. I feel for all you bucket seat lovers as they were NCO in the B7 (?) but a £2k option now. Does that mean you'll all like the super sports seats now? :FIREdevil:

My own perspective, the RS4 delivered a huge amount more than my S4 but not at the original list price, hence why I bought a year old example when it lost some of its depeciation. To get the spec I would wnat in an RS4 and what I would get for mine I need to find approx. £45-50K to get into one and it is for me anyway not £45-50k better than what I have. Give it a couple of years and then who knows....

P_G , you have to be realistic ... the S4 doesnt have things like that as standard

and my £46k TTRS doesnt have any of them as standard! no nav, bluetooth, light/wipers, different seats etc etc

this is the way it works ... dont like it, go buy a Nissan Note

as for SuperSport seats ... these ARE awesome !!

the "Recaro" comfort seats in the B7 RS 4 were pretty unexciting tbh, the SuperSports are brilliant !

I am being realistic DK, that''s why my money is staying in my pocket! :beerchug:

And it is a pretty poor excuse for Audi not to give the same level of tech as most other car manufacturers nowadays because it is living on kudos / badge perception. Rememebr what happened to Mercedes?

Hmmmm I think it has to many options, Audi should have made it like the B7, it should be how they want the car to drive. Sports button 'on' or 'off' thats it.

..and to many choices of wheels... Wtf... Does not feel prestige.

However I would def still have one, esp with that amazing engine and gear box.
Money can't buy you love, but it can buy you a well sorted racecar

Ok my spec has been sent to the dealer but I have one o/s question that he needs to sort with Audi which is the choice of wheels in the sport pack

Wants 10% deposit

Apparently I'm actually number 12 on the list for uk and obviously number one for my dealer.
