It was weird being in it given the speed without the noise - the guy gave it a bit of a boot and it was a strange feeling. Trouble is - enjoy the pace and end up with no endurance.
Anyway - back to the new RS4. I hope they come out with something incredible. It's going to need to be to steer buyers away from a used RS6 or the increasingly impressive competition.
The RS4 is dead?
Re: The RS4 is dead?
My car was in the other day and they gave me an A6 Allroad bi turbo. I was really impressed with the engine, it rode a wave of torque and even sounded quite meaty. I came away thinking do I really need a V8 that barely does 20 mpg and I would instantly buy an RS4 with this engine in!

Ideally I want an estate, so the M3 is out. I think the RS6 & E63 are too big for central London, which leaves me knocking at the door of the C63s, unless I am mistaken.
Graeme seems to think I'm an old fudger for liking it, but having spec'd a car up (£81k!!!!) it's got some interesting things going on. Annoyingly the configurator isn't too detailed, so some of the info on items that are options is non existent (genius). But (omitting the red detail that is included in the Edition 1 I ticked), I think this looks quite nice:
To add, the Monkey Harris film details the tunability of the C63s as being pretty awesome..... Just saying.
Re: The RS4 is dead?
It's the torque that puts the RS in the shade, be interesting to see what the B9 produces, but at these figures I know where I would go if I was in the market for a new car today.
