Graeme, I don't think he was in a rush to sell it, he was part-ex'ing it for another car and was offering it on here for the same money rather than than give it away to a dealer.

According to his post a page or so back, it was just being sold straight into dealer ;

I think the issue was that if the he'd put the same effort into the original post as he did with his initial angry retort, then perhaps someone on here would've snapped it up, or at least got in contact knowing what it is they were asking about....
Call me old fashioned, but if I was about to buy something from someone for £42k in a quick cash sale, I'd at least expect them to list what it actually is, and it'd taken two minutes to write a quick bit about spec

Jay's initial request wasn't unreasonable, but he got shot down for it and called an 'F'ing tosser'. That's perhaps is why this thread's escalated into a bunfight

2mins spent writing the spec would also have filtered out any calls/contact from people who had no interest in his car with that spec.

His laissez faire, then extremely rude, attitude is what got people's backs up.

exactly Graeme!! people are missing the point here..it was a personnel opinion from a member ( being me)to help the lad.if this guy thinks he doing a favour by doing this...well ok that's fine but he doing himself no favours with the ad..if you looking for a car for sale or a house do you look at the advert first and see what its all about or do you not look at advert and ring them instead?? I know what the answer would be so that's why when selling something like a car people need to know about it first before taking the next step.its been totally blown out of proportion and like all forums, people have opinions regardless of situation.i don't care if he sells it or not but I thought I would help him by saying what I did.unfortunately some people don't like opinions or criticism.anyway summers coming and you all should be polishing your RS,s ready for the summer instead of reading crap posts like this one
