It's unnerving watching the locals steaming around in little Peugeot's on snow tyres at a million miles per hour with massive drops on the edge of some of the dodgy roads.. Most of them pissed too
Great! Can't wait :)

The chalet has a 300m steep driveway :(

It'll be a good test of Le Quattro.

If you have trouble you can always let the tyres down a bit which helps, but it's hassle to pump them up again at the top.

Don't think it looks too bad, 10mm spacers all round. The ride is so much better than the 20s

Grip seems good in the Dunlop Winter SP. Let's hope it stays cold to make use of them :)

Fook me. I just went for a blat as it's 4 degs where I am at the moment and perfect for thrying the winters I fitted yesterday out. Tried some hard braking on damp roads....the tyres grip very, very well. I took a familiar route and I have to say that the 19" (even @ only 235 width) give so much better grip than the 20s on summer tyres. The extra "10" on the profile irons out the annoying bangs you get with the 30s. If the 20s didn't look so good I'd revert back to 19s in a shot.

I really am gobsmacked at the winter tyre performance and difference in ride. Dynamic mode is no longer a bone shaker...even the steering seems better in dynamic mode (I hate it normally).

Very happy with my purchase.....I managed to get the wheels and 2000 mile old winter tyres for well under £800!! 20s are happily clean and warm in my Dad's garage awaiting spring.

Let's just see how the winters wear as the OEM 20s have about 2k miles left in them and I am at only at 8300 miles.

I think they look ok to be honest. Better than the stock 19's you get with the RS4.
It's all torque talk.

They look decent. Get a side shot up Mark, so we can see how they sit with the spacers in

Not a great look but for three months I can live with it.

That looks ok, lots better than without spacers
I'm still waiting for my 4th winter wheel to turn up (they only sent 3 initially, doh) and then mine will go on
Let's hope we get some ice

:) - will be interested to hear how the 20s are with winters on. Our timing was good as the weather seems to be turning.

I've just done the complete opposite and changed all mine to Michelin pilot sports, it's made a massive improvement in handling Rd noise and comfort, but yep! No good in the snow
But my van has winter tyres on :bigblink:
Knowing my luck someone will just crash in the back of the Audi on an icy day with summer tyres on :biggrin2:

New winters on. 19/235/40 dunlop winter sport 3D on new gun metal alloys - £1300. Got the offset bang on so not buried inside the arches. Perfect timing to change over in NE Scotland!
