Having a wee smile to myself reading through this thread. My initial request was just a general question and my first reply to was a very brief thank you to the two who did reply with valid information.

I don't need to justify to anyone if I can afford to buy/run an RS4. However, for what it's worth, I can go out and buy an RS4 outright today should I want to.

That takes nothing away from a generic question about how much it costs to run.

Btw, I'm doing circa 25-30 miles per day across empty b-roads. I fill it up every 10 days or so and get 62-65 litres in if I'm patient. I'm therefore getting 17-20mpg.

Which is about 5mpg better than what I was using/will use during summer

Driving with heavy right foot, using preheater basically everyday, averaging 18mpg 1.3l/10km
