Yes they are functional - they are like the roof rails on the outgoing Sportback.

Stick some darker wheels on there to better accompany the black optic pack and you've got yourself a great looking car. Things are looking up!

Anyone ordering it with the faux aluminium splitter on the front bumper needs persuading otherwise asap before they make a big mistake. This car will be made or ruined by the options list.

I have to say from those photo's is looks like my neighbours 3.0TDi Quattro Black Editon that he has just taken delivery of with a different front bumper. His is condor grey (?) with black optics and the rotors which looks great but then maybe that is Audi's idea. Then again sitting a B8RS4 next to it may be visually the same as sitting our RS4's next to a B7 S-line. Time will tell but at this stage it is too discrete / similar to the lesser models.

i remember alot of us said this about the B7 compaired to the B5 i myself wasn't a fan of the B7 when it was first lanuched so i will reserve judgement till i see on in the flesh

Im liking it,even in red it looks awesome with those rims,cant believe theres no pics of it kicking around in other colours yet.Its all hanging on wether it handles properly imo
