.If I was selling, it price it at 38999 for a quick sale.
He will get 40 if hes in no hurry unless there is something wrong with it
.Be careful posting links up for Autotrader searches, as when I clicked on it, it shows me your full postcode114uyc wrote:I have been on the hunt for a few months now, not called or seen this one yet http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/ ... 500&page=3 it's almost the right spec that I am after
It very much doubt it. Not when there are 2015 cars available from a main dealer, for a lot less.Surrey Sam wrote:The grey one if presented well, will sell for circa 40k
Colour plays no major part in the 'trade' value of a B8. The only major factors are is whether a B8 has a the pan roof and Sports Pack or not. The rest is immaterial, and even then we aren't talking thousands of pounds difference. Misano on the B8 sold very well. Just because you may not like it like it, there were plenty that did. This isn't the B7.Surrey Sam wrote:Red RS4's are never easy to sell, so they need to be cheaper.
Average spec and ropey? It's your so called 'desirable' colour with average miles, Sports Pack, B&O, Black Styling, Tech Pack advanced - £38.5k. How much do you think they gave for it? I can ring Aidan at Shrewsbury Audi and ask him if you want me to find out (I know him very well), but I can tell you it would be £34-35k which is what I stated the trade value for an early 2015 car is. There's plenty of 2015 cars hovering around £40k (look on Autotrader), so a 14/14 car at £40k is over priced in the current market.Surrey Sam wrote:I've just had a look on the Audi AUC site this morning and there is only 1 single 2015 car (64 reg) that is sub £40k and it looks a bit ropey with at best, an average spec.
Tell us more, even though there is no information about the B9 due to the type approval problems they currently have with the TTRS, and the ongoing emissions scandal...Surrey Sam wrote:B9 will be £60k with a couple of options ticked and 18 months away,
A totally irrelevant statement. If a dealer had it on for £40kthey would have paid a lot less than £40k for it, which is my whole point about trade values.Surrey Sam wrote:If the grey one was advertised by a dealer with finance facilities, it would have sold by now.
This car is the one I was referring to in the other thread two days back, does look a bargain compared to others. Lots of extras- just no buckets and no pan roofkmpowell wrote:Average spec and ropey? I really wanted to get into a GTS, just a bit beyond me though. They haven't really moved value wise in 2 years, in fact I believe they dipped to about £56k and since the 718 got such a very flat reception, have risen back over £58K which certainly helps you owners. Do you ever find the Cayman a bit slow compared to your old B8?Paul789 wrote:I got just shy of 40k with 16k miles, but I still keep looking at them. Great looking cars!
That's not what I'm saying. If trade value for a car is £32-33k, then a screen price of £40k is unrealistic and overpriced, regardless of it being private/indi/franchise.Surrey Sam wrote:kmpowell - If we took your line of thinking, everybody should be advertising at trade price and then paying trade price.
No, you're the one missing the point, very badly. I'm NOT saying a buyer should offer trade price, that's just stupid! I'm saying a private sale price (to be salable) has to be realistic in relation to a trade-in-price, and what dealers are selling at.Surrey Sam wrote:You're missing the point. As a buyer you can go view all the cars in the world and offer them "trade in price"
