How's that 4.0 V8?

Can't sound as good as the old 6.3 AMG lump

Sounds just as good imo, if not better. Well built solid machine, fast and twitchy AF too.... Great fun.

The sales guy advises me that they tested something like 1500 variants of exhaust system before they signed off the finished solution.

I think you'll agree its certainly throaty enough...

@ Audi & Dr Ulrich Hackenberg - please make sure the B9 RS4 replicates this exhaust sound in some way.

Took the new c63 round the circuit at Brooklands a couple of weeks ago... Was good, planted, tons of grip great noise and tons of tech.

On the downside the c class interior is poor. I have a C350e and am always pleased when I get back to the rs4, quality and placement are just better for me. And the lack of a gearstick is properly annoying! As is the stalk with all of the functions on it...

But would still take the c63 if I was looking at new fast small execs...

I hope they do too, but they won't I am sure.....let's hope it's Mk5 Golf GTI moment when they get back on track again with the RS4 vs the competition.

Still hooning in my Golf R with 340(ish)bhp and flashed gearbox.......it's doing the trick for the time being........miss the V8 vs wheezing 4 banger the most!!

As the S4 was announced at the 2015 Frankfurt show, I cant see the RS4 being before the 2017 Frankfurt show (at least 2 years after the S4) with no deliveries until end 2017.
A lot of reports saying Audi are dropping DCT and the B9 RS4 will have an 8 speed slush box :audibash:
