Gutted for you mate. Hope they catch them. Hopefully you had GAP insurance so it does not sting you too much.

Personally I took GAP over a tracker; my feelings are that if it gets taken, even for a day I probably don't want the car back. I know people grow attached to 'their' car but if someone else has ragged it or hit potholes at speed or hit curbs, etc I would not be able to trust it.

I have cameras on the car at home and my house is well alarmed but if they are that set on getting it, they will. My old boss picked up a brand new B7 RS4 some years ago and was followed home on day 3 of ownership and beaten up as he got out of it at his house in MCR and 3 of them just drove off in it.

Shotgun, that's what you need. Should be on the options list.

Alternatively, taser. Stun the <beep>, kick the <beep> out of them and then drag them down the road and leave them for dead

Same thing happened to me on Tuesday night! My RS6 less than 4 weeks old taken by scum bags who broke in at 2am. They also took my Ford Ranger which was recovered. Thankfully it's only a car and all family ok. How are the police dealing with it?? Much luck?

Sorry to hear these cases of theft. I live in an old house which has no parking or garage so I have to park on the street. I used to miss them but now I park my car in different places each day so, unless watched, they'd be guessing which house it belonged to. Reading this though I think I am off to Costco to get a camera setup. I am one of the few people down my street with an alarm which is active when we are out or upstairs so hopefully others will be broken into before me.

Glad to both cases were without physical incident.

Woop woop! Car recovered today! 30 minutes before my wife was posting the spare key to the insurance company. Massive social media campaign in Edinburgh and I also contacted the taxi firms in Edinburgh and asked all drivers to keep a look out. Eventually 1 week later she was spotted parked up by a vigilant Taxi driver. Get her back Thursday and straight to Audi for an advance health check abd new keys abd tracker!

Police should set up a car which locks them in the car and :cannot get out. with camera on watch their faces when caught in the act then stone them or cut hands off
Glad you got cars back
