@ANDYRS the practicality of the 2+2 on the 911 is really tempting i hate do bring practicality in to it but being able to put the kids in the back is handy. Did you go for a lairy or subdued colour on the Turbo?

@Graeme I think the 912 is probably just a cruising car, drives out in the country etc. Agreed I don't think it could ever be considered a performance car by todays standards. My neighbor has a 458 speciale which looks and sounds amazing but a bit out of the price range at the moment. A manual Lambo is worth a look as is a V10 R8. My worry is i think practicality might play a part hence the 911. Does your expression of interest get you into one of the upcoming track days in the new car?

As far as I understand, yes
I was told that when the demo cars became available, that i'd get a phone call
However, I'm dealing with Swindon Audi sales, who are pretty much useless

I deal with Audi west London, who for the most part have actually been good.
They have a luxury car specialists who seem to know their stuff on all RS models and R8's.
might be worth a shout if you're not getting anywhere with Swindon?

How about an SL63? That's my current perfect pairing. Mica Blue RS4 alongside SL63 in navy with multi spokes. In the right spec and colour it looks great. And sounds great.

Dealerships are at the behest of Audi UK. Audi UK just want to sell lots and lots of cars. It matters not if you buy an A1 or an R8. If you're expecting them to bend over you're mistaken, you'll be left bending over.

If you want service you're looking at the wrong brand.

Something a little different to the suggestions above...You thought about a Lotus? I've Got an Exige S to go with the RS4 and i think they work well together. Similar speed/performance wise but two utterly different driving experiences....

I managed to find a nice low milage cobalt blue one which looks good sitting next to the sepang RS4.
Sorry not got any picks at the moment as I just got it home the day I left for work.

Porsche 997 GTS would be my own personal shout but I wouldn't keep the RS, Id chop it in and get something totally naff like a C4 Grand Picasso to do the family bit as I don't see the point in chucking loads of money at a family wagon when it could be spent on my toy.
I had a 997 C4S back in 2009 and I felt it was a lot better in some respects, marginally better in other areas but overall just a joy to drive.

@Simon82 yep looks good next to each other and as you say a different driving experience. Do you track the Elise?

@ANDYRS/ARSEY4: I think the 911 is probably the safest option, driving a 991 GTS at the weekend so will see what its like.
Keeping the RS4 isn't a problem as i say the girlfriend loves it and its really her car to drive.

@doddlebug: agreed most of them are like that but i found these guys better than Finchley road Audi, at least they have all the RS models in one show room and the A4 to try them out, but bentley it is not.

Not quite on the level of the other posts but one of the most fun cars I have owned a JCW and now sits along side the RS4. Pound for pound takes some beating...

Probably a surprise to many, but sitting next to my RS4 are two cars - a 1973 Triumph 2.5PI (owned for 24 years), and a 2001 Vauxhall Omega 3.2 V6 Elite (owned for 11 years).
The Triumph 2.5 PI was the first mass produced fuel injected car, and in its day was a flying machine, and now is used purely for classic car events and shows, and the Omega, well I just love it. It tows a large car trailer with ease, has loads of toys and is a real mile muncher being one of the most comfortable cars I've ever driven. Wouldn't part with either of them!
My wife has a marmite car - a Honda CRV, but we won't mention that...
