Wash car, wash wheels. Dry car. Drive car, re-wash wheels, dry wheels. Grrr

Re: Dirty water retained in Disc's
Is it coming from the vented area of the disc, or is actually coming off the back plate, 'cos there is a dirty water mark on the back plate? Maybe power washing is loosening brake dust that has accumulated on the back plate, and then rotational air movement when driven shortly after is causing the excess to spin onto the inside of the rim? Just a thought?

Unfortunately I care about how it looks. Not to mention the long term damage brake dust does to wheels...birdiemachine wrote:how about just drive it and stop worrying about brake dust

Sounds like another plus for ceramics in the steels v ceramics debate.......
Re: Dirty water retained in Disc's
I can't say I get this problem, perhaps it's down to your washing style/procedure. Are you pressure washing or hosing? I pressure wash the retainers etc fully until the water running off them is clear. It takes a bit more time to get rid of all the dust/dirt and run clear, but perhaps thats the trick you're missing.RossDagley wrote:Unfortunately I care about how it looks.
