I agree wit the guys on the depreciation of the AMG. Maybe hanging on for a while might be a better move

Phew, and as an early adopter the discounts will be ... Hmmm ... Non existent

Or

Hold onto the RS4 for another year (unless it's going to be a bag of :dung: by end of his year??) and either love the C63 with some discount or get the latest info on B9 RS4

I held onto my last for 6 years while I waited for the right thing to come. Hmmm ... Don't need to be quite that anal ...

And I fully understand about the RS6 size as a daily in town. One of the reasons I ditched the concept even though I wanted the boot space ... And the extra power would have been "nice"

:biggrin3:
In the city, the size of an RS6 would p1ss you off daily
I find my rs4 too big for it too

Personally I'd rather a Macan Turbo. Merc's just don't just do it for me, too much chintz inside and out.

Residuals have dropped a bit in the last 12 months, but I cannot see the next 12 months depreciation being *that* bad. Although it does partly depend on what deals Audi do on the alleged 180 or so unsold unallocated cars they have sitting unregistered at UK dealers....

One things for sure - depreciation of a 2012 RS4 over the next 12 - 18 months is going to be absolutely miniscule compared to a new 81k C Class....
Thats a good point, but I can't see any sensible way of getting some extra stallions out from under bonnet.

And I have new car itch quite a lot at the moment. I've even got the man maths calculator on the dining table at home. It's not a good thing......
It's all torque talk.

Maybe I should look at the RSQ3 too..........

not.

Sorry Sam, can't see past the fact that a 4x4 is a 4x4. It's not going to be an RS4, M3 or C63 - ever. IMO.

Maybe an M3 Shooting brake one off.... :drink:

The new C Class in estate version looks really good, the C63 even better. But for 81k it would have to be an RS6 as they just look amazing plus on the road the C63's are a pain in anything other than the dry or at least the old ones were.

I reckon the only other serious option is the Alpina B3 if you want a reasonably sized, fast estate. I would wait 12 months on the C63, deals will start to appear as I think they will struggle to shift at the price point, fantastic engine though and in the right spec without all that chrome it could look very good.

Oh dear, I fear it may be too late ...

We'll either have to:

A) send over a support crew of metrosexual urban blokes to lock you up to watch reruns of Neighbours and Doctor Who
Or
B). Buy you a new Hornby OO train set to set up in the family room

Or
C). Buy you a new car ... And that may have to be a forward order on a C63

Help out guys, this could be terminal for Smudge ! :drink:

What about a new Tesla .. The high performance P85S ... Do you do over 300miles on a trip? You could run over grannies cos they didn't hear you coming. :bigblink:

Hahaha!

Ok, just to reply in simplest form. Did you know that in 2 years time, the most common Taxi departing from Schipol Airport will be a Tesla.

Just sayin.........

I got in a Tesla from Schipol the other day. The cabbie didn't seem to like it and was complaining it didn't have the range to do the business - one day the battery technology will get there though!

I have an S4 but am going to be looking to trade up this year. The C63 estate seems a bit of a compelling argument - be interesting to see how the RS4 can move it's game on to be competitive.

I had a blast in one recently. I liked the concept, and the silent rush of acceleration, but the missing noise was weird, and you could literally hear the tyres tearing at the tarmac.
They're quite spacious, and the range wouldn't be so bad if you lived and worked in a city with lots of charging points, but you can tell the investment isn't there as the build quality and design was a bit pants other than the big iPad type thing in the centre console that was actually really cool
I heard they do a super sporty one now that does 0-100 in 8seconds or so... blimey
