HHA means that you never have to touch the handbrake ("fingerbrake"). Stop at traffic lights, press the footbrake once and the brakes stay on until you hit the gas pedal. For £65 it's a no-brainer.
^ This.
With the Auto box you have to always keep your foot on the brake or you will creap forward, HHA is great at lights or in traffic.
Indeed, having had it on my previous A6, I couldn't live without it, so i amde sure I had it on my B8.
Pull up to lights, HHA comes on automatically, press the gas to instantly pull away. No need to press buttons or keep foot on brake etc.

No-brainer for £65. :)

I can't see the point in lane assist, I've got it but don't need my car to steer me down the rd, I don't find steering to much of a hassle tbh
Side assist on the other hand is great!!

I agree, Lane Assist is pointless but its quite a cool thing to show to the kids,
I don't have Side Assist, didn't spec it so can't comment on if its any good.
A lot of the gadgets i doubt i'll ever use, maybe just the once!

I always considered lane assist a bit gimmicky, but in the last few weeks, I've been trotting ups and down the M4 roadworks, and coupled with ACC, on the narrow sections, it's proving very useful for keeping between the cats eyes..
Think it's what's causing the alignment problems with my steering though, which Audi are yet to fix (but that's another story)

My b8 S4 had the same off centre steering wheel issues as yours and that didn't have the lane assist so I don't think the problem was that. Took it back many times but they couldn't solve the problem. Ended up living with it and sold the car few months later

IIWY i'd be looking for a stock car close to your spec. :nodder:

When I was ringing around in the first week of January West London Audi group had many many RS4's in their group stock that had lots of options on them (minimum £7.5k). I'd be amazed if they didn't have a car that wouldn't be close to your spec if you're willing to compromise on a few things. Worth a few calls IMO.

Exactly this. Or phone around a few of the more 'RS focussed' dealers to see if they have any changable orders
Try Kings Lynn, Bath, west London dealers as a first port of call
These guys will deliver too, so don't fret too much about proximity

My main option was the bucket seats. I did find a few that had the option but not in the colour I wanted. Volcano red etc not really my sort of thing.

The speculative orders I did find were just past the point of changing spec.

From what I gather a few weeks earlier and I could have probably made the week 12 build allocation.

Suppose the discount I got helps to ease the pain. Just need to find something to keep my mind off the this for the next 6 months.

Stafford Audi have 2 in stock with buckets. A Nogaro Blue one (not a Nogaro edition) and a Velvet Purple one. Both new and unregistered.

Yea I saw those. The colours not my thing. Stafford was one of the first places I looked as I know they always have good stock.

Thanks for looking though.

No worries, I'm just reeling them off the top of my head recollecting who had stock cars when I was looking back at the start of Jan. Have you rung anybody at a Sytner dealer (West London, City London etc)? Their group had over 30 in stock available for immediate delivery, I saw the list of the available cars and a few had the buckets.
