Ok the last one made for the b7 lost power, this is obviously a much better design, what gains do you expect???

Certainly not enough to justify the £2.5k tag.

Nice engine dress up kit though.

nice looking piece of kit however (dont want to p*ss on your fun) i would seriously reconsider using K+N filters unless you wash the oil out as it WILL destroy your maf sensors once the oil gets on them, have you done the exhaust as well ? as you need it coming out quicker if its going in quicker, are they proper carbon fibre as they look to me as if they are glass backed up,still look great though keep us posted of the gains you get

Correct if wrong but it doesn't have a MAF like the b7

Interesting Riv, this independent review/test show gains on the B7 platform. Perhaps it's the Revolution replica ones that are more prone to losing power and eating MAF's?

I'm sure I remember MRC mentioning they are a waste of time if you want to see any gains,ok you get a better induction noise, but once you do the exhaust you can't hear it anyway, each to there own I guess to me it's a waste of cash, that's 2.5k towards ramics

Yes, agree it'd be better spent on Ceramics. Especially as the kit appears to still be a fibre glass item with a carbon fibre skin.

Back.

Ok, as I was saying earlier the reason why the intake chamber is constructed in two piece is to facilitate the installation of the air filter.

Here you have the filter and adapter.

After the chamber is screwed closed, you will need to put on the heat reflecting tapes as that section faces the engine and exhaust header.

Intake is completely off now. I took the opportunity to clean off the fluid spills and pebbles located on the chassis below the both stock air intakes, as I will only be able to access them again quite some time later.

They sent me the wrong intake cover. This intake cover is for the B8, mine is the B8.5 facelift. You can see the difference here. Will be sending back for an exchange.

Fortunately the stock intake cover fits, so I will be using it for the time being.
