In real world driving Im sure the dynamic/not dynamic steering is probably irrelevant. Couldn't stomach the Riviera Blue though Im afraid. Although I like the idea, know myself well enough to think I would regret it within a week or purchase! Have been looking at this;

Too expensive for mileage? Thoughts please.....

Nice car however b8 in black looks very boring, there's one near me,doesn't look great tbh, I had a black avant b7 I loved that!! But it's doesn't do the b8 justice, plus don't you find black a total nightmare to keep looking good?
Prism silver looks great!!! IMO

It does look quite pricey for the spec
Worth considering you could probably buy that car new for not much over £50k

If you do any longish distance the Tech Pack is good value at £950 - Adaptive Cruise, I use it every day, even in 30/40/50mph zones. On the schlep back from office on M4, I switch it on and it makes for automated speed/stress free driving. Parking Cam is useful and brake guard has come into effect once!! Advanced key....i've never put the key in the ignition as it stays in pocket. Hill Hold is, as stated, a no brainer as puts brake on when you stop at lights...makes for a quick getaway. Sepang is best colour (IMHO). Oh and you need a Milltek non-res :beerchug:

What sort of money do you think would be reasonable for this car? I have expressed a little interest to one of the sales reps at Watford Audi, and they seem very keen (desperate!) to sell the car. It has everything I want, except memory seats, and not sure if it has heated fronts?

I'd go lower than that. I'd be looking at 40 plus a generous rate on any Px

I think £42 plus £15 PX for my 90,000 mile 07 Avant. Would also want tax & extra 1 year of warranty added to original manufactures warranty. How does that sound?

Bear in mind that your salesmans bonus isn't weighted so much to the Px, so push hard
If you're paying £42, then look for a strong price close to private trade for the Px
The trick to this, and any nego, is he prepared to at least look like you're going to walk away
Fwiw, I'd want to pay no more than 40 or just wait and find a lower mileage cat as there's always plenty coming to market
Or, chip in a few more pennies and grab a good deal on a new one

Thanks for the advice Graeme. As it turns out, that particular car was sold yesterday, before I got to a deal I was happy with. I am in no rush, so will just keep looking, and as you say, there will be more and more used examples popping up as time goes by.

What do you think my B7 would be worth privately & px? 90k, full audi & MRC history, black, silver optics, comfort seats, decent (but not showroom) condition throughout, receipts for £1000s spent inc carbon clean, oil cooler pipes, clutch.

Talk of 40k B8's had me quickly look through the classifieds...alas, anything near the spec I'd want is 55k+.

I think 16-17.5k but comfort seats and millage is going to slow the number of enquiries down, so a cheap price will get it sold.

Yes , thought around the £16,500 mark would be reasonable. I have found a B8 with the exact spec and options I want for £48,000, but this is too close to the new price IMO. I want to be getting one for not much more than £40 to make it worth it.

If I was to by one from a non Audi source (privately or non audi dealer), would this affect the manufacturers warranty in any way? Would there be any other disadvantages?

Those of you who have bought new (or approved used) on PCP, could you give me a breakdown of figures, say with a £15,000 deposit? I am unclear quite how PCP works, if you decide to trade in at the end of the 3 year term, how much of your original equity will you be left with? Advice please!

Have you looked at the details on the Audi website? There's a worked example.

More deposit means less interest.
