Looks from that list all of Audi's big markets got the diesel.
Was that original err not a little attitude? Poorly chosen too. I had just explained some of the ecu calibration and innerworkings of the 3.0t supercharged engine in the b8 s4 and many other platforms. You didnt think I may know more than you on the subject before trying to correct me with that diesel crack ?
We were discussing the various VAG supercharged 3.0t tuning mandates, not audi oem tuning for the uk market. In case you didn't notice the thread was started by someone in bahrain, and I am in canada. It's a global forum and some of us know about more than our own domestic audi lineup.
As for 'big markets' are you kidding?
Audi's number one market, by far, is china. They sell more cars there than all European markets combined. And China is growing rapidly while Europe is shrinking.
Number 2 is asia pacific (korea, japan, etc...remember from the SQ5 petrol list?

At HALF the asiapac sales in a distant third is germany, whose sales are actually declining.
Next up? USA. Potentially overtaking Germany in 2014-2015.
So you may want to reconsider. Turns out you got it backwards and 3 of the 4 largest markets got the petrol car. Two thirds of Audi's sales region gets the petrol SQ5. One third gets the diesel.
