Oh yeah that is why I ordered it!

I think the brochure now says not compatible with iPhones (I nicked a brochure when I picked car up) but I don't think it did at time of ordering

I'd like to see what I was missing out on before I got too bothered about it

pulled this off the configurator so it looks like it come with phone prep high


Allows convenient use of the telephone, simple connection and perfect integration of mobile phones.
A mobile phone can be connected to the internal UMTS (3G) module via Bluetooth (provided the mobile telephone has SIM Access Profile), or alternatively through the additional SIM card reader. It is possible to transfer phone book entries to the car and manage call lists. Audi connect features include: navigation using Google Earth images and Google Street View, destination entry via Google Maps or myAudi, online point of interest search and information services such as weather forecasts and the latest world news. Audi connect also includes Audi traffic information online, which gives exact and accurate real-time forecasts of the traffic situation along the chosen route. The traffic situation can be displayed on the navigation map or Google Earth image. Audi connect can also create a Wi-Fi hotspot in the car for convenient internet access using a mobile device (e.g. laptop or tablet). Many Audi connect features can be simply operated via the MMI Navigation Plus, the multi-function steering wheel or the voice control system

Please note that when a data SIM card is inserted into the SIM card reader, Bluetooth hands-free connectivity is disconnected, as the SIM card takes priority over the Bluetooth connection.

Due to high data volumes, a mobile phone contract including an unlimited data plan is strongly recommended. The content and scope of the online-based services offered may vary.

Its because the iphone is not SAP enabled thats why it only connects via bluetooth,being all apple myself i read early last year that,merc ,audi and bmw were working closely with apple,merc have incorporated it in the new A class audi will surely follow,heres an article ive found.http://www.techradar.com/news/world-of- ... zy-1087628

The app works for iphone to get access to your music and internet radio. But it doesn't access the features of Audi connect.

This isn't Audis fault - it's Apple's.

They have not built in "SIM Aceess profile" to the iphone - not even the new iphone5. Samsung Galaxy and many other Androids do though!

HTC sales figures have slumped, they like blackberry are looking pretty buggered. Market is looking like Apple and Samsung for that Android garbage.
