Driver's side mirror was a little noisy today when opening and closing. Could hear it from inside and also feel it struggling with my hand on it. Searching on here and a bit of general internet bashing couldn't find a relatable issue or fix.
Noticed the mirrors have a thin rubber piece between mirror body and mounting. This was looking scuffed so guess it's a surface it moves on...
Some targeted GT85 on that rubber bit with it folded in, and in motion has stopped the noise.
May not be a forever fix but has certainly done some good for now.
Cheers

hmmm i dont see a thin rubber bit on mine. Any chance of a picture?
Re: Power fold mirror juddering noisy
Will do.
The GT85 spray didn't last and it started coming back again, nothing like before.
Did a bit of research, silicone is kinder to rubber materials. Tried some silicon spray, did the trick again and problem gone for now. Don't remember this before now, only with it getting cold recently. Will monitor,

With mirrors folded up, this thin bit between the arrows. It's flexible rubbery plastic surface. A suitable lubricant on that seems to have worked for me, temporarily anyway.
