This is brilliant timing as I have just had a similar module fitted at Royle Auto Services, Blackrod (Bolton).

I have to press the lock button twice and then the boot lid closes. Have just done a video for my YouTube channel…please take a look.

Also as an aside, the boot opening button on the drivers side door. Do you have to keep the button pressed in order for the boot to stay open? Once the boot is up and I leave go of the button the boot closes. ?? Can anyone please try there’s to see if mine is operating as it should. Many thans, Nick

No, when you release the button it stays open. You don't need to hold it.

I fitted it on mine, no difficult tbh if you have basic wiring skills (and a soldering iron)

Thanks Surrey Sam, great instructions. Fitted mine this morning and works great.

NOTE: 2021 units are now shipped with 4 wires not 5 wires. The yellow wire has been deleted. The Orange wire (which was spare) is now the old yellow and is connected to the Gy/Bk wire to the tailgate switch. I only found out after I stripped the tailgate and came to solder the connector. I checked the Bexpro website and saw a note in German explaining this. At first I thought I had been shipped the wrong unit.
