One of my rear shocks is shot so Warranty is coughing up for 2 new rear shock no quibble which made me happy but at 55K it does mean I will have to fork out for the front shocks too unexpectedly my question is should I really do the springs too?
bit higher miles I would do it no question but I just want to know if it is a bit unnecessary.
I am not a skimper on car by a long shot but have to fork out for my Singapore GP and Ibiza trips this month not to mention various bits on the house going needing attention

Re: Need new Springs??
When mind were done under warranty, both on my B7 and the B8, they just replaced the defective shocks. Admittedly the mileage was less than yours, but I see no reason to replace the fronts shocks, or the springs unless they are defective.
